There are diseases and dental defects which are hidden to the dentist examining the patient's mouth. These hidden problems may be revealed for treatment by dental xrays. In certain circumstances, without x-ray examainations, it is not possible for patients to receive the proper dental care they need. Performed with modern methods and safe guards, such examinations pose little danger to the patient.
